Laboratory and X-Ray
A lab test takes approximately one hour to complete after the blood has been drawn. The time may vary depending on the type of test and the number of test the lab is processing at a particular time for other patients. Some lab work, such as cultures, may take several days to receive results. In the case of x-rays, the time it takes to receive x-ray results also varies according to the type of x-ray that was ordered.
