Telephones and Wireless Communications
Telephone
You may make either local or long distance calls from the phone located in your room.
Local call:
Dial 9, then the local number that you wish to reach.
Long-distance call:
Dial “0” to reach the medical center operator. Inform him/her that you wish to make a long-distance call and how you wish to bill the call. You may use a prepaid calling card, call collect or bill the call to your home number. If you are using a prepaid calling card, give the operator the 800 number associated with the card, and he/she will dial it for you. You will then enter your “PIN” and dial the long-distance number you wish to reach. The medical center does not accept responsibility for long-distance charges.
