Your hospital bill will be payable at discharge. If you have hospital insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance, you will only be expected to pay for those items not covered by your insurance such as deductibles, co-payments, and any non-covered items at discharge.

The Insurance Department will file your insurance with the information that you gave when you were admitted. Please send your insurance claim forms directly to your insurance carrier. Any additional or updated information should be given to Registrations. You should follow up with your insurance company if payment has not been made within 30 days.

If you do not have insurance, financial arrangements will be necessary. They should be made prior to discharge with a Patient Accounts representative. You may qualify for other financial assistance programs should you meet certain income requirements. These programs can be discussed with a Patient Account Representative or with an eligibility specialist.’Representatives are available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Patient Account Office, which is located on the first floor just off the main lobby. The Patient Accounts extension is 6961.
