To Avoid a Cold, Get a Good Night’s Sleep
Can poor sleep leave you at risk of catching a cold? One study found that adults who had slept less than seven hours per night on average were nearly three times as likely to get sick as those who slept for eight or more hours per night. Quality of sleep affected risk, too. Those who were up 8 percent of the night had five times the risk as those who were awake less than 2 percent.
