St. Johns Celebrates National Healthcare Quality Week with National Speaker

Joplin, Mo. – St. John’s Regional Medical Center will conclude Quality Week with an awards ceremony in the main lobby at 11 a.m. on October 23. Poster presentation awards will be presented by St. John’s chief medical officer, Dr. W.C. Dandridge, followed by comments from nationally recognized speaker Dr. Dale Bratzler.

The poster presentations on display represent the quality improvements achieved in each department throughout the year. Award honorees are celebrated for their quality patient care. Quality Week is a yearly celebration of the strides St. John’s has made in providing quality care to its patients.

Dale Bratzler, DO serves as president, CEO and medical director of the Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality, manuscrip reviewer for the Joint Commission Journal on Quality Improvement, the American Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Association, and Mayo Clinic Proceedings. Dr. Bratzler is an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Health Administration and Policy at the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center as well as a national leader in the development of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services core measures.

Dr. Bratzler will present “National Performance Measures Compliance: The Development, the Future and the Role of the Physician” to hospital staff and physicians in the Mercy Conference Center from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.
