St. John’s Welcomes New Physician Roberto Moran, M.D.

Joplin, Mo. – St. John’s Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome Roberto Moran, MD to the medical staff.
Dr. Moran earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California Irvine, Irvine, CA. He attended Howard University College of Medicine, Washington, D.C., where he received his MD. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at York Hospital, York, PA.
Dr. Moran has served as a member of Emergency Medical Resident’s Association, American College of Emergency Physicians, American Academy of Emergency Medicine and Society for Academic Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Moran has received a number of honors including NSF Research Award in Materials in Engineering, Alpha Beta Gamma Honor Society for Academic Achievement and Certificate of Appreciation for Contribution as Co-Coordinator in “Diversity in Medicine Program – Addressing Disparities in Medicine” (UC Irvine).
Dr. Moran’s specialty is emergency medicine and he will practice in the St. John’s Emergency Department.
