St. John’s Announces Scholarship Recipients

Joplin, Mo. – St. John’s Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the St. John’s Business Education Partnership Scholarship award winners. Bethany Reed, Taylor Byrd, both from Joplin High School and Zakkary Huddleston from McAuley High School were the chosen recipients. Reed and Byrd are planning to enter the nursing field, while Huddleston is pre-med.

Each year, St. John’s awards scholarships to three high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in healthcare. The recipients must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher for their entire high school career.

The scholarships are for $500 a year, and are renewable for all four years as long as the student maintains a 3.0 grade point average and stays in the healthcare field.
