St. John’s Welcomes First baby of 2009

Joplin, Mo. - St. John’s Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the birth of the first baby in 2009! On January 1 at 4:43 a.m., Tammy and Matt Devine of Carl Junction, welcomed their new baby girl to the world in the Sister Kevin Kirwan Birthing Center.
Natilie Grace Devine weighed 8 pounds and 9 ounces and measured 20 ½ inches long at birth. Natilie was welcomed by her brother and two sisters.
St. John’s presented the proud new parents with a security package for the new baby to congratulate them for having the first baby of 2009. The security package consisted of safety items including a car seat donated by the Elks Lodge, outlet covers, cabinet latches, baby monitor, and first aid kit.
Oasis Salon donated a 60-minute massage for the new mother and Babies-R-Us donated a gift bag with coupons and goodies for baby Natilie.
