SportsCare’s Have a Ball at Christmas Donation Drive

Joplin, Mo. – St. John’s SportsCare began its Have a Ball at Christmas donation drive on December 3.  SportsCare will make a presentation of the collected sports balls to the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Missouri at a press conference at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 18 at the Boys and Girls Club. 

SportsCare began the donation drive on December 3 by placing donation boxes at various area business locations including Southwest Missouri Bank, St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Commerce Bank, First State Bank, Empire District Electric Company, The Big Nickel and Contractors Equipment Company.

The goal of the Have a Ball at Christmas donation drive is to provide area youth with athletic balls such as footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, etc.  Both new and used sports balls were accepted.  St. John’s and St. John’s SportsCare support active lifestyles, and this donation drive is a way to promote healthy activities. 

We would like to invite members of the media to join us at Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Missouri located at 317 Comingo, Joplin, Mo. at 2 p.m. for a presentation ceremony.
