St. John’s Mercy Regional Foundation Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Joplin, Mo. – St. John’s Mercy Regional Foundation will hold a celebration honoring 20 years of helping the Joplin area communities. The celebration will be held on November 19 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Foundation office located at 3001 McClelland Boulevard, Joplin, Mo.
The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce at 3 p.m., which will begin the celebration. There will be displays set up showcasing some of the areas of the community where Foundation dollars have been spent. Foundation staff members will recognize contributors who have consecutively donated money for the past five, 10, 15 and 20 years.
St. John’s Mercy Regional Foundation addresses unmet health needs in the Four-State area. Examples of services and programs funded include St. John’s Hospice and Palliative Care, free colorectal cancer screening program, St. John’s MedFlight equipment and funding for the Community Clinic of Joplin and the Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri. The Foundation has also provided emergency medical equipment for firefighters, ambulance and EMS departments in 14 counties.
