St Johns Names New VP of Strategy and Business Development

Joplin, Mo. – St. Johns Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Shelly Hunter, MBA, FHFMA as vice president of strategy and business development. In this role, she will be responsible for St. Johns strategy and business development, marketing and public relations, regional development and physician recruiting.
Hunter held the position of director of strategy and business development from 2005 until her recent appointment to vice president. She is a certified healthcare financial professional through Healthcare Financial Manager Association (HFMA) Show-Me of Missouri Chapter and a Fellow of HFMA. Recently, Hunter was also named president of the Show-Me of Missouri Chapter of HFMA.
Hunter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration / Accounting, both from Missouri Southern State University. She also earned her MBA from Pittsburg State University.
