Mercy Regional Foundation Welcomes New President

Joplin, Mo. – St. John’s Mercy Regional Foundation is pleased to announce the hire of Treva D. Kennedy as president and CEO. She took over the position on June 23, following the departure of Jennifer Kennally.

Kennedy comes to the Foundation from Coffeyville Regional Medical Center where she served as Foundation executive director. In her experience, Kennedy initiated an annual fund program, introduced and coordinated an employee annual giving program and capital campaign, wrote state and foundation grants and developed and managed a philanthropic strategic plan.

Kennedy earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Communications from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Ok., and Master of Science in Education – Communication and Information Technology, also from Oklahoma State University. In addition, she completed certificate programs in fund-raising from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI.

Throughout her career, Kennedy has been involved in a number of civic and professional organizations. She served as both midwest regional foundation chair and Kansas state representative for the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. She has also been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Coffeyville Rotary Club, Oklahoma JCI Senate, and Kansas Association of Healthcare Communicators, just to name a few.

Kennedy and her husband Robb will relocate to the Joplin area from Coffeyville.
