St. John's Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Joseph A. Newman, M.D., Medical Director of St. John's Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center, is now Board Certified in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. Dr. Newman also received certification as a Diving Medical Officer while attending NOAA/UHMS/USRF Physician Training Course in Seattle Washington in November, 2005. Dr. Newman is the only physician Board Certified in Hyperbaric Medicine in the Joplin area.
St. John's Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center provides a multidisciplinary program dealing with the management of acute and chronic problem wounds. Our full continuum of care includes extensive wound assessment, treatment based on advanced medical methodologies, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, pain management, patient education and support services.
