St. John’s Celebrates National Healthcare Quality Week with National Speaker
St. John’s Regional Medical Center nationally recognized Guest Speaker Dr. Dale Bratzler will join with Dr. Stephen Nesbit, Vice President Medical Affairs to present awards on Friday October 12th 2007 to hospital staff for the quality work accomplished this year. This is an opportunity for every department to share their story of what they have done to improve the quality of care given to the customers of St. John’s.
Dale Bratzler, DO: QIOSC Medical Director, Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality, Manuscript Reviewer for The Joint Commission Journal on Quality Improvement, The American Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Association, and Mayo Clinic Proceedings will present “ Core Measure Education: National Performance Measure Initiatives” to hospital staff and physicians from 12:15 – 1:15 in the Mercy Conference Center.
St. John’s is proud of the accomplishments awarded both staff and leadership recognition over the past year. St. John’s has received national recognition in September, for three Excellence Through Insight awards for Patient Satisfaction for Large Hospitals by HealthStream Research. In August, 2007 St. John’s received its third Thomson Healthcare 100 Top Hospitals award in the area of Performance Improvement Leaders. This spring, St. John’s was named for a second 100 Top hospital award by Thomson Healthcare, a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare. In November of last year, Thomson Healthcare named St. John’s a 100 Top Cardiovascular Hospital.
PRESS CONFERENCE: In recognition of the quality improvement contributions the staff have made, St. John’s will host a press conference in the main lobby of the hospital. All media partners are invited to attend.
