St. John's Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of our Pediatric Hospitalist program. The Pediatric Hospitalist program allows patients to be treated at our facility by the Hospitalist when their Pediatrician is not available during regular business hours. Barbara Chilton, D.O. has been named our new Pediatric Hospitalist. She will be available for consultation, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., beginning September 5, 2006. After-hours and weekends will be covered by the Pediatrician on-call.
Dr. Chilton has worked for St. John's Regional Medical Center since 2004 as an emergency department physician. From 1992 through 2004 Dr. Chilton worked as a pediatrician in Joplin. Dr. Chilton attended medical school at Oklahoma State University, Internship at Hillcrest Hospital in Oklahoma City and completed her residency at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Chilton is board certified by the American Osteopathic College of Pediatrics and holds certifications in Neonatal, Pediatric and Advanced Cardiac Life support since 2005. Dr. Chilton also serves as a Sexual Abuse Forensic Examiner in the State of Missouri.
