St. John’s Hosts Annual Matters of the Heart Health Forum
St. John’s Regional Medical Center will host its annual Matters of the Heart health forum on Saturday, February 9, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in St. John’s Main Lobby, in recognition of American Heart Month.
The event will feature heart-related information, various service-line booths, educational materials, blood pressure and bone density screenings, a cooking demonstration and guest speakers. Our special speakers will include St. John’s Cardiologists and Cardiovascular Surgeons. The speakers’ times and topics will be:
- 9:00 a.m. – “PAD: What? When? Where? Why?” Dr. Stephen L. Meyer
- 10:00 a.m. – “Cardiac Rehabilitation and Risk Modification” Dr. Francis Corcoran
- 11:00 a.m. – “Atrial Fibrillation” Dr. Rafael Gaytan
- 12:00 p.m. – “It’s Not Your Mama’s Fried Chicken” Susan Gutierrez, RN, FNP
In addition to the other activities, prizes will be given away throughout the day. Matters of the Heart is a free event and open to the public.
