St. John’s Medical Group Welcomes New Director
St. John’s Medical Group is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Medical Director. Glen King, DO, is a Family Practice Physician who will assume the position of Medical Director of St. John’s Express Care, Range Line facility. He has worked at St. John’s Emergency Room and Express Care since August, 2005, and has been with St. John’s Medical Group since 2000.
Dr. King’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Mo.; a Master of Education in Physical Education from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.; a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from University of Health Sciences, Kansas City, Mo., where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed his residency at Baptist Medical Center – Goppert Family Care Center in Kansas City, Mo.
Dr. King has received various honors such as the Outstanding Student in Family Medicine Award in 1997, Presidents Honorary Scholar, Regents Scholar and Superior Honors in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Proctology, Surgery and Pediatrics. In addition to his many accolades, Dr. King also has been an active volunteer in organizations such as Kansas City Free Health Clinics, the Share the Care program, which provides care to indigent patients and City Union Mission-Healthcare for the Homeless programs.
