St. John’s Medical Group Welcomes New Medical Director

Deborah SchneiderSt. John’s Medical Group welcomes a new physician to its staff. Deborah Schneider, MD specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehab and joins us from Doctors Home Services, Inc. in Derwood, Md., where she served as President. Dr. Schneider will serve as Medical Director of In-patient Acute Rehabilitation at Brady Rehabilitation Center. She has also worked as attending physician at Rifkin Medical Services and served as Director of Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinical Consult Service at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Schneider earned a BA with a double major, Natural Sciences and Biology, from the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences, and graduated cum laude. She completed Research Fellowship and Graduate School in Molecular Biology at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Molecular Biology, Philadelphia, ansd earned her MD from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, also in Philadelphia. Dr. Schneider completed her internship in General Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she then served as an Orthopedic Resident. She also completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Schneider will begin practicing on October 1, and her office will be in St. John’s Brady Rehabilitation Center, where she will have an In-patient practice. Dr. Schneider will also be available for consultation and can be reached at 417.659.6716 or pager 4203.
