The program at St. John’s was the first to be awarded the recognition in the Four State area back in June 1999. This year’s honor runs until June 2008. Programs that achieve Recognition status have a staff of knowledgeable health professionals who can provide participants with comprehensive information about diabetes management. Education Recognition status is verified by an official certificate from ADA and is awarded for three years.
