St. John's Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Darrick Paul has accepted the position of Vice President, Human Resources. Paul takes over the position effective immediately. The Interim Vice President of Human Resources, Kathy Van Zant, will be assisting him through a short transition period.
As a Vice President of Tara Healthcare of New York, Darrick established leadership development programs, lead the HR Department through Tara Healthcare’s expansion from 21 facilities to 37 facilities in 8 states to a combined employee population of 6,200, and implemented an organization-wide strategic planning initiative which improved management focus and accountability for nursing quality and financial performance. Darrick also has extensive experience with federal requirements for diversity, equal opportunity and affirmative action and their implementation.
During his career, he has served Human Resource Director at Piedmont Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia, and as Director of Human Resources and Diversity of Waffle House, Inc., in Norcross, Georgia.
Darrick has an MBA in Human Resources, a BA in Personnel and Human Resource Administration, Masters of Healthcare Administration and is an Executive Healthcare Fellow with the healthcare Advisory Board in conjunction with Harvard Business School.
Darrick, along with his wife, Michelle and daughter, Mikaela will be moving to the Joplin area soon.
