St. John's Regional Medical Center announces the appointment of Shelly Hunter, the new Director of Business Development (DBD). Shelly comes with extensive financial and business development experience with various health care entities. Most recently, she was the Director, Decision Support with Freeman Health System.
As the hospital continues to grow and meet the community’s needs, so does our leadership and business management. Shelly will be primarily responsible for business planning and will assist with strategy and brand development for the entire market-based organization (MBO).
Shelly received Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Computer Science from Missouri Southern State University. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University. She also has a certification in Health Care Financial Professionals from Health Care Financial Managers Association. Shelly grew up in the Joplin community, where she continues to reside with her husband, Todd and two children, Jake and Sam. We welcome Shelly to the St. John’s team.
