St. John's HealthMinute

6/20/2006

Remember when taking a vacation meant heading to some tropical paradise for much-needed R&R. Well, these days, the ads for these vacations look a little different. Instead, the trip to Cozumel includes on-board rock climbing, ice skating, and aerobics classes to pump the heart rate along with excitement. And once there, the Mayan ruins have been rewritten to include Mom in a spinning class. The hot getaway trend now is health vacations -- with Pilates replacing pina coladas and doctors serving as tour guides.

Sometimes a vacation may just be getting out of the house. After all, this is the time of year to get out and enjoy some of the local festivals. Around the 4th of July, you’ll have plenty to choose from. St. John’s will be out there as well. We’ll be in Neosho for a 3-day event at Morse Park. Be sure to come out and you may walk away with some great prizes and a free t-shirt. Once again, St. John’s will be out at Morse Park from June 30 – July 2nd. For more information or to find out where you can find St. John’s, call 625-2000.
