It’s that time of year again – we make our regular New Year’s resolution to exercise, lose weight or maybe just eat better. No matter what the resolution, the truth is, very few make it past the first month.
The trick may be the exercise you choose and St. John’s may have the answer. If you like to walk, but want to avoid the cold, consider our WalkFit program at Northpark mall. You set the time, you set the length. Just come in, sign up and then walk when you want. And if it’s relaxation you’re after, try our new Tai Chi classes, known as moving meditation. For more information or to register, call St. John’s Referral One at 625-2000.
One-way to improve your overall health…eat fish. In a new study, people 65 and older who ate fish once a week showed a 10 percent slower rate of cognitive decline per year compared to those who ate no fish. However, there is no evidence that omega-3 fish supplements have the same protective benefit. |
