Chest Pain Observation Unit
Patients who arrive at St. John's experiencing chest pain are treated in a dedicated area of our Level II Trauma Center called the Center for Chest Pain. This unique center is staffed around the clock by physicians and nurses who specialize in the evaluation of heart attack symptoms and their treatment.
Non-Invasive Testing and Diagnostics
Before any treatment can be prescribed or surgery performed, an accurate diagnosis of the patient's condition must be made to identify compromised arteries and blocked vessels.
Specialists utilize a wide range of diagnostic testing including:
- Thallium Stress Test
- Stress Echocardiography
- EKG
- Echocardiogram
- Holter Monitoring
- Cardiac Stress Testing
We are the only area hospital to provide pediatric telemedicine to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
